Hazrat Inayat Khan

The Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan

Suitable for all eras and for all people, The Message of Hazrat Inayat Khan embraces and enhances our respective early morale and religious development. Furthermore it guides us to live beyond the mundane, arcing “Toward the One.”

This path embraces the ideals of all religions and spiritual traditions. In this case the word “ideals” represents the lessons revealed by the great prophets and messengers of all religions and traditions throughout time. These ideals are from God: universal truths spoken at different times for different circumstances, in different parts of the world, for different peoples. Religious organizations are “man-made.” Ideals are from God.

Hazrat Inayat Khan’s teachings represent a great synthesis of ideals of all religions and traditions. As students, we learn from the readings of founder of the organization, Hazrat Inayat Khan. Sacred studies with the Sufi Order of the West begin with the reading of The Gathas. While The Gathas are profound and even progressive, they are the starting place. The Gathas foundational lessons were selected for the aspiring student. They are not exclusive to those on the Sufi path. They are for all of humanity. Hazrat Inayat Khan said that they are the “coin of today.” We hope these serve you in practical and loving ways for your fulfillment.
